Skiprigg is a small Cumbrian village in the Eden Valley, reached via the A69 from Carlisle or Newcastle with a turn-off through Raughton Head. The settlement sits among rolling farmland between the Lake District and Scottish borders, with Carlisle Lake District Airport nearby. Traditional Herdwick sheep still graze the surrounding fields, their distinctive wool having been valued for generations.
