Skaw marks Britain's northernmost point, reached via the A968 across Unst island after multiple ferry crossings from the Scottish mainland. The single-track road winds 11km north from Baltasound through sparse moorland, with roughly two EV charging points serving the area. Britain's most northerly house sits here as a white cottage landmark.
