Silt is a small Colorado River town on I-70 between Denver and Grand Junction, Exit 97. The 3,600-resident community sits in red rock country with a semi-arid climate. Most visitors use I-70 from Grand Junction (45 miles) or Denver (150 miles), while locals take Highway 6 to Rifle and Glenwood Springs. Harvey Gap State Park just south features a reservoir surrounded by dramatic red sandstone cliffs.
