Shireshead

Shireshead lies along the A6 between Lancaster and Preston, where the flat coastal plain meets the Bowland fells. Most visitors reach it via M6 junctions 32 or 33, then follow the A6 through rolling Lancashire countryside. The village sits on the old London-Scotland coaching route, once notorious for the dangerous Cockersand Moss crossing that's now drained farmland.
