Sheridan sits along Interstate 90 in north-central Wyoming, about 130 miles from Billings and 150 miles north of Casper. The city serves as a gateway between the Great Plains and Bighorn Mountains, with I-90 providing the main east-west route and US highways 14 and 87 connecting to regional destinations. The historic Sheridan Inn, built in 1893, features 69 distinctive gables and once counted Buffalo Bill Cody as a business partner.
