Seneca is a tiny high desert ranching town in eastern Oregon's Grant County, home to just over 100 residents at 4,200 feet elevation. Reach it via US 395 north from Burns (60 miles) then OR-140 west, or from Prineville take US 26 east then south on 395 through John Day. The town holds Oregon's all-time low temperature record at minus 54°F, set in 1933.
