Seaton occupies Aberdeen's northern suburbs between the River Don and the coast, easily reached via the A96 from the city centre or airport. The A90 coastal route provides scenic access from the south, whilst King Street connects to neighbouring Old Aberdeen and the university quarter. The area centres on Seaton Park, home to the 13th-century Brig o' Balgownie, the medieval stone bridge that inspired Lord Byron's childhood memories.
