Sawood lies in West Yorkshire's Pennine foothills, between Bradford and the literary village of Haworth. Access is primarily via the A629 from Bradford, connecting to the M606 for longer journeys, whilst the B6144 serves local traffic to Cullingworth and Denholme. Over 150 EV charging points are available across the area. The village retains its centuries-old dry stone walls, creating the characteristic Yorkshire field patterns.
