Rushton Spencer is a Staffordshire village perched between the Peak District and Moorlands, reached via the A523 from Leek or Stockport. Most visitors approach from the M6 (20km west) or use the A50 and A537 connections from major cities. The village sits on elevated ground where pastoral farmland meets dramatic moorland scenery. St Lawrence Church houses remarkable 14th-century stained glass windows that survived both the Reformation and Civil War.
