Ruisaurie lies in the Scottish Highlands near Beauly, about 15km west of Inverness amongst traditional Highland settlements. Access is via the A862 from Inverness through Beauly, with long-distance routes connecting through the A9 and Great Glen. The area has good EV charging infrastructure and sits in historic Clan Fraser territory, where Castle Dounie once controlled the strategic route between the Highlands and Moray Firth.
