Rowthorne

Rowthorne is a small Derbyshire village near the Nottinghamshire border, accessible via the A617 from Junction 29 of the M1. The area sits in former coalfield country with gently rolling terrain between Chesterfield and Mansfield. Local routes connect to Glapwell and Ault Hucknall within 2km, whilst the M1 provides the main long-distance link. The 13th-century St. Bartholomew's church houses a rare medieval green man carving in its south doorway stonework.
