Rosscarbery

Ireland

Ireland

Rosscarbery is a lovely coastal town in West Cork where the Roury River flows into Rosscarbery Bay, perfectly placed between Clonakilty and Skibbereen on the Wild Atlantic Way. It's about 65 kilometres from Cork city via the N71 through Bandon, taking just over an hour by car, or three hours from Dublin via the M8. The town sits right on the main southwest touring route toward Bantry and the Ring of Kerry, with local roads like the R597 connecting the nearby beaches and villages. West Cork Distillers operates here as Ireland's only independent whiskey distillery, offering tours of their traditional copper pot stills.
