Riverstick is a quiet village in County Cork, about 20 kilometres southeast of Cork city centre. Take the N25 east toward Waterford, then the R629 south through Carrigtwohill before picking up local roads into the village. Cork International Airport is just 15 kilometres northwest, making it a handy 20-minute drive via the N25. The village gets its name from "Abhainn na Maighe," meaning "river of the plain," after the small waterway that flows through the settlement and gives this corner of Cork its character.
