Risegate is a small fenland village in South Holland, Lincolnshire, reached via the A152 between Spalding and Donington. The area sits barely 3 metres above sea level on reclaimed marshland, now prime agricultural territory. Local routes connect to Gosberton and Surfleet, whilst the A17 provides longer-distance links. The village exemplifies England's lowest-lying inhabited landscape.
