Rathnaconeen

Rathnaconeen sits along Mayo's coast on the Wild Atlantic Way, connected mainly by the R297 which runs north to Ballina (15km) and south toward Westport. Most visitors come from Ballina, while longer journeys typically route through Castlebar on the N5 then west via N59. The area has decent EV charging coverage with about 18 stations nearby. Local attractions include the Connacht Whiskey Company for distillery tours, Enniscrone's championship golf course, and Kilcullen's century-old seaweed baths. The town overlooks Killala Bay, where a stone monument marks the exact spot General Humbert and the French fleet landed during the 1798 rebellion.
