Pueblo is a south-central Colorado city where I-25 meets US Highway 50, about two hours south of Denver. The Arkansas River runs through town at 4,700 feet elevation, creating a natural stopping point between the Rockies and the eastern plains. Most visitors arrive via I-25 from Colorado Springs or Denver, while US 50 connects to western mountain destinations. The Colorado State Fair transforms the city each August into the state's biggest annual celebration.
