Prittlewell forms part of Southend-on-Sea in Essex, easily reached via the A127 from London or the A13 through east London. The A1159 connects it to neighbouring Westcliff and central Southend, whilst London Southend Airport sits just northeast. The 12th-century Prittlewell Priory ruins in Priory Park still feature the original medieval fishponds where monks once farmed carp.
