Ponder is a small North Texas town of about 2,600 people, located 40 miles northwest of Dallas in Denton County. Take I-35E north through Denton, then Highway 380 west for the most direct route from Dallas. From Fort Worth, use US 287 north to Highway 380 west. The town hosts the annual Old Fiddlers Reunion, a bluegrass festival running since 1985.
