The area serves as a quiet base for exploring Highland scenery whilst benefiting from the coast's milder climate. With roughly ten fast EV chargers nearby, it's well-positioned for North Coast 500 tourists, and the name derives from Gaelic "poll," meaning the tidal pools visible at low tide.
