Pleasant Garden is a small Guilford County town of about 5,000 people, located 15 miles southeast of Greensboro via US Highway 220. The main route from Piedmont Triad International Airport (25 miles northwest) follows US 220 south directly into town. Interstate 85 access lies 10 miles west through connecting roads, making it a convenient stop between Charlotte and the Triangle. The community's name comes from Pleasant Garden Methodist Church, established in 1832 and still marked by its historic cemetery.
