Philmont is a small Hudson Valley village in Columbia County, about 30 miles from Albany and 120 miles north of NYC. Route 217 runs through town, connecting east to the Taconic Parkway and west to Route 9H and the Thruway near Hudson. The historic Philmont Country Club from 1903 anchors Main Street with one of the county's oldest golf courses.
