Philiphaugh lies in the Yarrow Valley near Selkirk, about 40 miles south of Edinburgh via the A7 and A708. The area serves as a gateway to the Southern Uplands, with the A708 continuing west toward Moffat and St. Mary's Loch. Around 25 fast EV chargers are available nearby in Selkirk. The site is renowned for the decisive 1645 Battle of Philiphaugh, where Covenanter forces crushed Montrose's Royalist army.
