Pentre-cwrt lies in Carmarthenshire's Teifi Valley, reached via the A484 through the valley or the B4334 from Llandysul. The A485 from Lampeter provides the main eastern approach, whilst longer routes use the A40 via Llandeilo or the A487 coastal road. The village retains one of Wales' last working traditional woollen mills with original Victorian machinery still in operation.
