Penmaenpool

Penmaenpool sits beside the Mawddach Estuary in Gwynedd, positioned on the A493 between Dolgellau and Fairbourne. Most visitors arrive via the A470 from Dolgellau, 4km northeast, with the route continuing southwest to Barmouth. The village serves as a gateway to southern Snowdonia, with around 10 EV charging points nearby. The old railway bridge's stone arches still span the estuary where trains once carried gold from local mines to the coast.
