Peat Cot

Peat Cot lies deep in Dartmoor National Park, accessible via the B3212 from Yelverton or through minor roads from the A30. The settlement sits among working peat beds at 400 metres elevation, where Atlantic weather systems create the misty, changeable conditions typical of the high moors. Visitors often combine it with Princetown prison nearby, and the area has over 60 EV charging points around the moor's edges. Old peat workings still scar the landscape, testament to centuries of fuel cutting that gave the hamlet its name.
