Passage East

Passage East sits where the River Suir meets Waterford Harbour, a handy spot on Ireland's Ancient East route. The village is 12 kilometres from Waterford city via the R683 and R680, with connections north to New Ross and the main N25. The famous car ferry to Ballyhack has been running since 1790, making it Ireland's oldest ferry service and the quickest way between Waterford and Wexford counties. It's a short 400-meter crossing that saves drivers from going the long way round the harbour.
