Palmstead lies in the Kent countryside between Canterbury and the coast, easily reached via the A2 from London or A257 from Canterbury. Most visitors arrive from Canterbury, just 15 kilometres away, whilst longer trips from London take about 90 minutes via the M2. The town boasts a distinctive Norman church with a rare wooden bell tower, one of only a handful surviving from medieval times.
