Palmerscross forms part of Elgin's southern suburbs in Moray, easily reached via the A96 trunk road between Aberdeen and Inverness. The area sits in the fertile Laigh of Moray with good access to coastal routes towards Lossiemouth and RAF base, plus whisky trail connections through Speyside. The name recalls an ancient cattle drovers' crossing over the River Lossie.
