Pallaskenry sits 20 kilometres west of Limerick city in County Limerick's farming country, connected by the R518 road. It's a handy base for golfers, with Adare Golf Course and several championship courses nearby. Shannon Airport is just 15 kilometres northeast, making it popular with international visitors wanting to stay outside the airport area. The village is famous for the 1880s Land War, when local tenant farmers organized one of Ireland's most significant rent strikes against their landlords.
