Otterburn lies in remote Northumberland countryside, 50km northwest of Newcastle via the A696. This small village serves as a gateway to Northumberland National Park, positioned in the Rede Valley amid moorland and forest. The A696 connects to the A1 near Ponteland, making it accessible from major centers and providing an alternative Scottish route to the busier A68.
