Ordie is a small Aberdeenshire village on the A93 through Royal Deeside, about an hour's drive west of Aberdeen. It's handy for exploring Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve and the surrounding castle country, with decent EV charging nearby. The village overlooks Loch Kinord, where medieval Castle Island's ruins are visible from the shore.
