Oglet occupies a quiet stretch of the Mersey Estuary between Liverpool and the Wirral, easily reached via the A561 from Liverpool or the A5300 from the M56. The settlement provides excellent motorway access for longer journeys whilst serving local commuters heading to Liverpool's southern districts. The area overlooks the wide Mersey Estuary where the river makes its final dramatic curve before reaching Liverpool Bay.
