Northolt occupies West London's suburban fringe in Ealing borough, where the A40 Western Avenue provides the main route into central London and onwards to the M40. The A312 connects north to the M25 and south to Heathrow Airport, whilst local roads serve daily commuters heading to Greenford, Harrow and surrounding areas. RAF Northolt remains one of Britain's oldest continuously operating airfields, still hosting the annual Battle of Britain flypast rehearsals each September.
