North Shore is a small desert town on the Salton Sea's northeast shore, reached via Highway 111 about 45 miles southeast of Palm Springs. The area serves as a waypoint between the Coachella and Imperial valleys, with routes leading north to Desert Shores or south toward the Mexican border. The town sits at one of the few remaining inhabited spots along the shrinking Salton Sea, where old resort remnants mix with modern mobile home communities.
