North Oakley lies in Hampshire's countryside between Basingstoke and Andover, reached via the A339 which runs north-south through this part of the county. Most visitors drive up from Basingstoke in about 15 minutes, whilst longer journeys typically use the M3 to junction 7 then the A339 northward. The village sits near Lasham Airfield, making it popular with aviation enthusiasts. Electric vehicle drivers will find over 100 public fast chargers nearby. The village maintains one of Hampshire's few remaining traditional thatched bus shelters, complete with oak frame dating back over a century.
