North Killimster is a small Highland settlement six kilometres south of Wick, reached via the A99 coastal road. Most visitors drive up the A9 from Inverness, about 160 kilometres through dramatic Highland scenery. Wick John O'Groats Airport serves the area, and there are roughly seven EV charging points nearby. The name derives from Gaelic "Cill Mhaoilsidh," meaning the church of the tonsured one.
