Nina, TX

Nina is a small Rio Grande Valley community in Starr County, about 10 miles northwest of Rio Grande City on US Highway 83. With under 1,000 residents, it sits in prime onion-growing country where irrigated fields stretch toward the Mexican border. Most visitors arrive via US 83 from McAllen (60 miles east) or Laredo (50 miles northwest), connecting to major highways through those cities. The town is surrounded by some of Texas's most productive sweet onion farms.
