Newton of Ferintosh

Newton of Ferintosh lies on the Black Isle peninsula between Inverness and the Cromarty Firth, accessed via the A9 and A832 through Conon Bridge. Local routes connect to nearby Maryburgh and other peninsula communities, whilst longer journeys follow the A9 south through the Highlands. The settlement's name recalls the famous Ferintosh distillery, which enjoyed a unique tax exemption after 1689, producing some of Scotland's most affordable whisky.
