New Galloway

New Galloway lies along the A712 in Dumfries and Galloway, about 35km from Dumfries via the A75 and A712. The A713 provides a shorter route from Castle Douglas. Most visitors use it as a base for exploring Galloway Forest Park, with approximately seven EV charging points available. Remarkably, it remains Scotland's smallest royal burgh, chartered in 1633 with fewer than 300 residents.
