Nether Wasdale lies in the western Lake District, providing access to Scafell Pike and dramatic fell country. Reach it via the A595 coastal road, then inland through Gosforth, with charging points available in the wider area though limited in remote valleys. The narrow roads demand careful driving, especially in winter. St Michael's Church at nearby Wasdale Head houses graves of pioneering climbers, known as "the climbers' church."
