Mortehoe perches dramatically on North Devon's clifftops, just 2km from Woolacombe's famous surfing beaches. Reach it via the A361 from the M5, then the B3343 through some of Devon's most spectacular coastal scenery. The village sits at Morte Point, where a restored lighthouse overlooks treacherous slate reefs that have wrecked ships for centuries.
