Moorefield is a tiny Arkansas community in Independence County, tucked into the Ozark foothills along Highway 14. Most visitors arrive via Highway 67 from Little Rock (90 miles) or drive the 20-mile stretch east from Batesville. The rolling, forested landscape offers scenic drives, especially during fall. The town's early 1900s post office still operates with its original wooden mail sorting boxes.
