Monkstown (Dublin)

Monkstown lies along Dublin Bay's southern shore, about 12 kilometres southeast of the city centre. The N31 coast road from Dublin runs straight through Blackrock to Monkstown, offering grand views across the bay, while the DART railway provides easy rail connections. From the M50, take Junction 15 for the N31 toward Dun Laoghaire, then head north. The area has plenty of electric vehicle charging points throughout the greater Dublin Bay region. The real draw here is Monkstown Castle, a 15th-century tower house turned restaurant where you can enjoy medieval banquets within walls that have stood for over 500 years.
