Minllyn lies in Snowdonia's Dyfi Valley, reached via the A470 and A458 before turning onto winding country roads. The village sits amongst wooded hills typical of this part of Gwynedd, with Machynlleth 15km southwest providing the nearest services and approximately 11 EV charging points. Just 1km from Dinas Mawddwy, the area retains remnants of its slate railway heritage, including an old bridge spanning the River Dyfi.
