Milwich is a small Staffordshire village between Stone and Eccleshall, reached via the A51 from Stone or A519 from Eccleshall. Long-distance visitors use M6 Junction 14 then the A34 south. The surrounding countryside features gentle hills and farmland typical of the Trent Valley. St. Bartholomew's Church contains a Norman doorway with distinctive zigzag molding dating back over 800 years.
