Milltown (Galway)

Milltown sits 25 kilometers northeast of Galway city along the R446, connecting directly to Tuam and the N17. Most visitors come off the M6 at Junction 17 near Athenry, then head north through rolling farmland divided by traditional stone walls. The route to Galway takes about 30 minutes via Claregalway, while the R446 provides handy access toward Sligo. The 19th-century stone church perched on a hill above the village makes a grand landmark, its bell tower visible from the main road for miles around.
