Milford (Donegal)

Milford sits on the Fanad Peninsula where the R245 from Letterkenny brings you through 25 kilometres of proper countryside. It's your starting point for reaching Fanad Lighthouse, about 15 kilometres north at the peninsula's tip. The town gives you access to three championship golf courses nearby, including the famous Rosapenna links that make use of the natural dunes. The red-fronted Milford Inn on the main street has been serving locals and visitors since 1898, making it a handy landmark when you're finding your way around the winding peninsula roads.
