Mere Brow
England
Mere Brow is a small West Lancashire village on the A565 between Southport and Liverpool, about 20 miles from each. Access from Manchester involves the M61, M6, then A59 through Preston. The village sits on former moss lands where centuries of peat cutting created today's agricultural landscape. Ancient bog oak still turns up in local fields, preserved black timber from trees that fell into the moss thousands of years ago.
