Matlock Bath
England
Matlock Bath occupies a steep limestone gorge in Derbyshire's Peak District, reached via the A6 which threads through the village centre. Most visitors drive up from Derby (25km) or across from Sheffield via the A621 and A6 (35km), whilst locals pop over from nearby Matlock or Cromford. The cable car system whisks visitors 169 metres up the gorge to the Heights of Abraham caverns and spectacular valley viewpoints.
