Marathon is the main city in the middle Florida Keys, about two hours south of Miami via the scenic Overseas Highway (US-1). It's a popular stop for travelers heading to Key West and a hub for fishing and diving in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island chain. The town sits right before the famous Seven Mile Bridge and is home to the world's only sea turtle hospital.
